DEFINING
Firstly, we need to understand, which information is needed and which is not. We do that together with your team, because there is noone else who knows better what is needed. That is done via interviews and workshops
SEARCHING
Secondly, we concentrate on looking for needed information only and in case of need also outsource certain activities to our partners (like survey organizers or data analysts)
IDENTIFYING
Finally we run workshop round to identify really important information and how it changes the strategy
ASSESMENT
Firstly, we evaluate level of flexibility of overall organization, its business processes and other systems, including ICT. Normally that require close cooperation with management and rest of staff
UNFREEZING
Secondly, we together redefine the processes in different ways and perform simulation on which will be the best way to go.
FREEZING
After processes are redefined, we together reassign the roles (perhaps, introducing new, like product owner and eliminating old, like project manager). New processes, like sprints, are introduced upon necessity.
Internal control system (ICS) itself is not instrument to build strategy, but ensures two important elements:
EXECUTION
Creating proper framework for strategy implementation and control
SAFETY
Releaving management from routine daily operations, and letting to concentrate on Strategy development and implementation. Proper established ICS does not require daily involvement
We help to assess ICS framework and feel the gaps, if necessary. In case deeper dive is necessary we work with our partners (like quality management and auditing companies)
P.S. Often customers do not need complex approach, since they have already invested their efforts into one or few elements. In such case we concentrate only on what is really needed to finailze creation of strategy.
